Get Rid Of That Shiny Forehead !!!

Glowing skin is good.  Shiny and Greasy Skin is not.  There are many ways to get rid of the dreaded shine on your T-Zone (*Across the Forehead, Down the nose and chin).
Here are some tips to make you matte and marvelous.

Cleansing :

Use a Gel Cleanser to wash your face twice a day, Use a non-alcohol based Toner, and a Moisturizer that is Gel-Based.  Use water-based (rather than oil-based) products.

Masks :

Clay and Mud masks are good at getting rid of excess shine temporarily.  Generally, Light-Colored masks are gentler and work better on Sensitive Skin.  Darker-Colored masks can generally absorb more oil.

Blotting Papers : 

This is my favorite way to get rid of shine.  There are Blotting Papers that come in all forms (the rice paper ones, the plasticky ones).

Powder : 

For Normal/Combination Skin, a loose powder should be fine.  For oilier skin, I would recommend a Pressed Powder, as they have more coverage.

Super Matte Anti Shine :

This exciting, innovative product has been uniquely formulated to matte the shine of oily skin. Most of the large makeup manufacturers have tried to duplicate this product with no success. Super Matte Antishine has been used by leading film and television actors.

It leaves skin feeling fresh and taut and won't produce that "caked on" feeling you get from powder. It is available in three sheer shades: light, medium, and dark. Antishine is great not only for women, but also for men's palms, foreheads and balding scalps.

Makeup For Asians

Struggling to find the best brand of makeup or way of applying it? 

Here’s a complete list of dos and don’ts for Asians… makeup-wise.

♥ DON’T ♥ 

• Wear too much eyeliner •

• Have too much blue/green eyeshadow •

• Choose an eyeshadow color that’s too dark •

• Wear false eyelashes that look too long and fake •

• Attempt to change the lightness or darkness of your skin tone with a completely different shade of foundation. It will end up looking like a mask •

• Use a heap of glittery eyeshadow •

• Use tester lipsticks straight onto your lips. It’s unhygienic. Smudge some onto your fingers before applying •

♥ DO ♥ 

• Look out for foundation that has yellow undertones •

• Test your foundation on your jawline first •

• Use lots of sky blue. Asian skin loves that color! •

• Store lipstick and perfume in the refrigerator. It’ll last longer •

• Outline your lips in pencil before you apply lipstick or gloss if you don’t want your lipstick to feather •

• Always, ALWAYS wash off your makeup before bed •

♥ Develop a signature scent! ♥

It’s nice to have a smell people can recognize you with. But don’t just pull out any old perfume. A signature scent takes time to discover. Choose a scent that’s uniquely you and something you actually like.

BoA - "GAME" MV

 Another big name is making her K-pop comeback.BoA – who has been busy venturing between Japan and USA for the past couple of years – will be releasing her first Korean album in five years. Game is the first promotional track from the album, titled Hurricane Venus, which is due to be released on August 2.

Not bad. 

There’s a very strong J-pop feel with the arrangement.

The fashion & style too is something you would expect to see in a Japanese MV instead of a Korean video, a bit of cultural exchange perhaps.

The Importance of Your Eyebrows !!

There are so many women that don’t know the importance of eyebrows.  Eyebrows brings attention to the eyes and help to frame the face.  They can change your look- From Natural, to sophisticated, to dramatic.  Eyebrows are a quick and easy way to give yourself a new look.

For you Eyebrow Virgins that have never plucked or waxed your eyebrows, I suggest getting them professionally waxed or threaded. (Find places that are highly recommended… Do your research. You don’t want to have someone mess up your eyebrows. Tell them you want a natural look).

For you over-pluckers, I suggest putting away your tweezers and letting your eyebrows grow in. While you’re growing them in, you can pluck the stray hairs growing in way below your eybrow so that it looks clean.

If you’ve been plucking for years, there are eyebrow serums that help your eyebrows grow in faster. While you’re waiting for your eyebrows to grow in, you can draw them in.

When drawing in your eyebrows, I like to use a light taupe/ brown eye shadow (Depending on your hair color). You can also use eyeliners/ eyebrow pencils if you’re more comfortable, but I feel that using the eyeshadow and a brow brush gives a much more natural look.

* When drawing in your eyebrows, make sure you start with a much lighter color than you would expect. If the color is too dark, your eyebrows can look strange and fake. *

There are also eyebrow kits that contain stencils. If you find this to be easier, they can be very useful and you can create many different looks.

Always start light and you can fill in the rest on your own.  When filling in brows, always draw in short, light strokes, so it looks like hair.

So ladies, whether you have too much hair on your eyebrows, or too little hair on your eyebrows, please get those babies cleaned up!  It only takes a little effort, but makes such a big difference!
